Behringer Crave

$250 single oscillator mono synth available for preorder

I’m guessing tariffs from fascist President Trump have inflated the originally announced Crave pricing of $199. These are cute, they should sell a million of these. I’m not always a fan of unusual colored synths, but these do look cool. Always proud of Behringer when they at least give an original name and look to a product… Does smack of Moog Mother 32 though, wouldn’t you say?

Originally announced January 27, 2019 at NAMM 2019, likely hitting US shores before the Holiday season. Korg Volca should start to feel the heat from Behringer any moment now would be my guess.

In my opinion, Behringer really owns the sub-$400 realm. More expensive models with keyboards etc. are kind of like having an expensive Squire guitar instead of a Fender… A bit of an quandary as price and features go up if you ask me. That’s a growth statement for me, maybe I’ll keep growing but for now I think the $250 & $350 units though are way cool. A few of those and a MIDI controller and you’re set to start driving.

As more information becomes available, I will keep you updated.
